Mel B has quit Celebrity Juice after just one series as a team captain.
The Spice Girls star, 45, reportedly decided to leave the show due to the her busy work schedule, though bosses insisted the door would be left open for her to appear as a guest in the future.
Mel’s departure comes amid speculation that she could reunite with her Spice Girls bandmates for a tour next year, to celebrate the girl group’s 25th Anniversary.

Confirming Mel’s departure to The Daily Star, a Celebrity Juice spokesperson said: ‘Mel has been a brilliant team captain and we’d like to thank her for all the laughs. We have no doubt she’ll be back to banter with Keith as a guest on the show in the near future.
‘A brand-new series of Celebrity Juice will be on ITV2 this Autumn with two new team captains and a whole host of guests.. watch this space!’
A source added that Mel chose to leave the show due to her busy work schedule, saying: ‘Melanie has loved working with Leigh [Keith Lemon], Holly [Willoughby] and the whole team at Celebrity Juice but next year is going to be very busy for her.’

Mel’s exit comes just weeks after Holly also confirmed she had quit the show after 12 years as a team captain.
The departure also comes amid speculation that Mel may reunite with her Spice Girls bandmates Mel C, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton for a reunion tour next year to celebrate the group’s 25th Anniversary.
In April, Mel C hinted she would love to see the group head back on the road, following the huge success of their UK reunion tour last year.

She told Musicfeeds.com.au: ‘I mean touring is up in the air for everybody right now but that was my wish. I wanted to make the solo record but I wanted to carve out time for that and those shows.
‘But getting four people to agree on times, places and duration and all of those things is really, really hard.
‘We stay in touch, the door and the dialogue is open. We are discussing offers and opportunities on a weekly basis. So, I like to think that at some point we’ll be back out on the road.’
Mel added that if she and the other Spice Girls were to tour again, she hopes Victoria Beckham will be on board.

Asked if there’s a chance of the group going to America, she told Entertainment Tonight: ‘I hope so, I really do. We talk all the time, we talk about what we’d like to do, any options that we have. We would love to do more shows, we really would.
‘Obviously, [this year] has gone nuts and no one knows what’s gonna happen with shows, for now.
‘But personally for me, speaking on my own behalf, I would love to do Spice Girls shows in the US, in South America, in South East Asia, and get into Australia finally. All those places we never got to, as well as the US because I love to be there.’
Mel also vowed to do ‘everything I can within my power to try and get all of us back on stage together’ in reference to Victoria taking part.
