Authors and celebrities alike are giving kids a new perspective on their favorite books using live streams. From actors such as Josh Gad and Jennifer Garner to authors like David Williams and Oliver Jeffers, parents and kids can tune in to watch as they read classic children’s books and their personal favorites.

The country-music legend has launched a live stream to read bedtime stories to kids online each week. Parton draws books from her Imagination Library project to give families a “welcome distraction” during these times of unrest.

The Brooklyn Public Library is offering virtual programming via Facebook Live broadcasts and Zoom meetings. Its virtual story hour airs weekdays at 11 a.m. EDT.

The “Reading Rainbow” icon is offering children and young adult reading sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays. Burton has made the readings available on Twitter with the children’s session broadcasting at noon EDT on Mondays, and young adult sessions at 6 p.m. EDT on Wednesdays.
