Bob Saget jokes about ‘becoming Danny Tanner,’ celebrities read to your kids and Disney’s Pixar releases ‘Onward’ online early in Pop Break

CLEVELAND — From keeping it clean to staying connected, and coming into our homes in more and more intimate ways, our favorite celebrities are committed to bringing us entertainment while we’re all enjoying time to ourselves at home.

It was a running joke on “Full House” that Danny Tanner was obsessed with cleaning, and now the man behind the fictional single father-of-three is feeling it, too.

On Thursday, Bob Saget, who played the character in both the original series and the recent Netflix reboot, “Fuller House,” tweeted an incredibly relatable though, writing:

“Oh. My. God. I spend my day cleaning and vacuuming and sanitizing everything in the house. I have become Danny Tanner.”

For those at home with little ones who would like help occupying them, Jennifer Garner and Amy Adams are offering up help.

Garner and Adams have started a charity called “Save with Stories” and are enlisting the aid of big names like Noah Centineo, Hoda Kotb  and Mrs. Kasha Davis from RuPaul’s Drag Race to record themselves reading books aloud, sharing them online.

According the group’s website, Save With Stories is working in partnership with Save the Children and No Kid Hungry, to offering stories on Instagram and Facebook, in an effort to provide fun and education to kids and parents stuck at home during the coronavirus outbreak.

“Across the country, schools are shutting down due to the coronavirus pandemic. But millions of children in the U.S. go to school not just to learn, but also for breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner. That’s why we came up with @savewithstories,” the website reads.

“Your donation will help Save the Children and No Kid Hungry make sure schools and community programs have the support they need to keep brains and bellies full. You’re also supporting our important work to meet the health, education and nutrition needs of kids in other countries impacted by coronavirus.”

Speaking of occupying our children, and to be honest, ourselves, too, there’s another new movie available early for in-home viewing.

Disney and Pixar’s animated film “Onward,” with stars Tom Holland and Chris Pratt voicing teenage brothers, is coming to digital download ahead of schedule, starting Friday at 8 p.m.

It shows up on Disney+ on April 3, and there’s a Northeast Ohio tie to the project.  Michael Nieves, who went to high school in Parma, helped build characters for the feature.

And in a funny, but informative post on both Instagram and Twitter this week, Kevin Bacon reminded us how we’re all connected (just like the six degrees of Kevin Bacon.) .. we’re all connected in some way, so who better to remind us that we should stay home, for everyone’s well-being.

Bacon is challenging all of us to share our reason for keeping to ourselves, using “#IStayHomeFor.”

“Every one of us has someone to stay home for and I am staying home for Kyra Sedgwick,” Bacon said in the clip, referring to his partner in marriage for over 30 years.

Demi Lovato, David Beckham and Eva Longoria are just a few celebrities who have already jumped on Bacon’s bandwagon.
